Nickelodeon Star Kel Mitchell Reads Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount for Prayer App, Reaches Youth with the Gospel

Kel Mitchell is an ex-Nickelodeon star that has become a youth pastor. Recently, he introduced us to a new dimension of himself when he joined the “Pray.com” app as a voice talent. The 44-year-old star read Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mount” for the Bedtime Bible Stories section of the app. This section is designed to introduce listeners to Jesus Christ and the Gospels.

Pray.com is an app that features an array of famous voices leading prayers, providing Bible lessons, and reading scripture. Some of the prominent voices on this app include Drew Brees, Charlton Heston, James Earl Jones, Lecrae, and of course, Kel Mitchell.

What Else Had Kel Mitchell Been up to?

Kel Mitchell had starred in a Nickelodeon comedy series in the 1990s known as “Kenan and Kel.” He is currently appearing in and executive producing a new iteration of “All That,” another Nickelodeon series. The star also hosts “Tails of Valor,” a top-rated TV series that covers true stories of how service animals are changing people’s lives.

Asides from his entertainment endeavors, Kel currently serves as the youth pastor of Spirit Food Christian Center in California. He connects to young people weekly by sharing God’s word and encouraging them to follow their dreams. Recently, Kel released “Blessed Mode: 90 Days to Level up your Faith,” a life-changing 90-day devotional. He also released another book titled “Prank Day” on September 6. This book is geared at entertaining kids and tweens while helping them to explore their imagination.
